James Riel, Vocalist
Founder and Music Director of NOTEable DECADES

Jim has been performing throughout New England over his 20-year+ Career. Jim enjoyed a 10-year run as Baritone for the popular NH band known as "Swell Party", a vocal Swing, Jazz, and Big Band Quartet until their break-up in 2005. Jim is featured on both of their Albums, "Wishing You a SWELL Christmas" and "High Standards". He also had the pleasure of being the pre-show entertainment with "Swell Party" for the Manhattan Transfer, Capitol Center for the Arts, Concord NH.  With a diverse vocal background including, Jazz, Swing and Classical, Jim has performed in Community and Dinner Theater productions in the Lakes Region as well as Southern New Hampshire, Northern Massachusetts and Vermont. His love of performing the standards of the 1930's and 1940's, combined with the styles of the 1950's, 1960's and the popular dance tunes of the 1970's and 1980's was his inspiration for putting this versatile, extraordinarily talented, top notch group of band mates together to form "New Hampshire's Favorite Party Band"!

Tara Dallaire, Vocalist
Tara studied voice training with Tiffany Johnson and studied both voice and theater with her uncle, Jason Chase, director of the Theatre Network Company of NYC. Past credits include Community Theater, Allstate and Jazz Allstate. Most recently, she has been a featured soloist in NH, and Massachusetts. Tara currently DJ's with Rick's Goodtimes. Tara has performed on the New Hampshire seacoast, as well as the lakes region of New Hampshire.

Amy Mathison, Vocalist
Amy studied music theatre at Plymouth State University and was a voice student of Ryan Turner. She has been involved with and participated in theatre in NH and around New England since grade school, including a summer at the Saxton’s River Playhouse.  Amy took part in the 2008 NH Idol competition put on by WLNH radio station and finished in the top 3. Her more recent accomplishments have been raising her beautiful daughter Lily and maintaining a musical household.

Paula Brennan, Keyboards
Paula has been playing piano and performing with local community theaters in Conn. and NH for over 30 years. Over the past few years she has performed with Stage One and New Thalian Players at the Palace Theater. She has also played keyboards for the Acting Loft; doing such shows as Blood Brothers, Grease, and Evita. Paula was a member of Encore Theatre Co. in Kingston, and most recently performed with Voices of Distinction. Paula has performed on the New Hampshire seacoast, as well as the lakes region of New Hampshire.

David Couture, Electric Guitar
David received his training at Berklee College of Music where he recently has returned to complete his degree in Performance with a concentration in Guitar. He has studied extensively with such notable guitarists as David Newsam and Jim Kelley. David recently attended Jazz at Lincoln Center's summer workshop on Jazz Improvisation. He is a guitarist and bassist with a broad experience in performing, composing, and recording in a wide variety of music styles. He is currently the Director of Blue Soul. David's teaching career spans 20 years teaching guitar, bass, and directing ensembles.

Jared Steer, Percussion
Jared holds a B.A. in Music Education from Plymouth State University; is currently a student of Bob Gullotti for five years and Jeff Ballard. He has studied with Bob Moses, Roberto Vizciano Guillot, Tim Gilmore, Craig Fahey and Eric Hughes. He is also a freelance professional who plays throughout New England and beyond. Jared's work is included in Ben Rudnick's award winning albums "Fun n' Games" and "Blast Off"; a 1999 Best of Boston Jazz Compilation, and several other albums. His band with Ben Rudnick and Friends received four stars from Downbeat Magazine with their album "Blast Off". Jared teaches 40 students a week at his home, BYPC, and the New Hampton School.

Jeremy Mathison, Bass Guitar
Award-winning bandleader Jeremy Mathison has been the assistant director of the New Hampton School Music Department, since 2001. In his words, “One of the best features of New Hampton is the strong sense of community that creates a safe and friendly place to ask questions and seek out knowledge.” He is a graduate of Plymouth State University where he was a member of jazz ensembles, jazz big band, classical ensembles, and college chorale. He is currently working toward an M.Ed. degree in music. Jeremy performs classical, jazz, rock, country, and fusion around New England. He has also played in pit ensembles and has been a music director for theatre companies.

Mike Walsh, Percussion

Mike Walsh has a B.A. in Music performance from UNH and has been playing drums for over 25 years. Mike has studied privately with drumming greats Les Harris Jr., Peter Moutis, Bob Gullotti, Dave Dicenso and Dan Weiss.  For the last 12 years, Mike has performed extensively throughout the Northeast and has worked with The Amorphous Band, Analog  Method, Equal Time, Jen Kearney and the Lost Onion,  and the Mango Groove Steel Band.  In 2008 Mike Performed the music of Esquivel! in Mexico City Mexico with Mr. Ho's Orchestrotica. Mike resides in Portsmouth and teaches at the Portsmouth Music and Arts Center.
